Yete NYC · New York City
Shared mate. Shared conversation. An ongoing ritual in New York City.
Yete brings the South American tradition of sharing mate into the streets, parks, and gathering spaces of New York City. We create space for people to slow down, put their phones away, and be genuinely present with whoever is next to them.
What began as a personal ritual became a series of gatherings, and those gatherings became a community. Every circle is an invitation to do something increasingly rare: show up, sit still, and actually talk.
We work with teams, venues, and cultural institutions who want to create real moments of connection, whether for 10 people in a conference room or a hundred in the park.
Open-air circles in Central Park and throughout the city. Bring a blanket. We bring the mate. Everyone is welcome, no experience required.
Intimate guided sessions covering the history, preparation, and etiquette of yerba mate. Held in selected venues across the city.
A live demonstration and shared tasting for your team, 45 to 60 minutes that creates genuine conversation, cultural awareness, and a ritual to return to.
The mate circle mirrors what good collaboration actually looks like: turn-taking, listening, generosity. It's a 500-year-old idea that still works.
